Wouldn't that mean that your 58 chains are incorrect because it's not evenly divided by 18 (the 10+5+3)?) When figuring how many chains to start, you use the multiple of 10 (times the number of patterns you wish to complete) in this case 5 for a total of 50, then add the 5+3, for a total of 58.<br />Hope this helps.knitgranhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09208025302130429642noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28439873.post-44994552770805779072012-04-11T04:09:51.378+10:002012-04-11T04:09:51.378+10:00I stumbled upon your shawl while looking foir a sh...I stumbled upon your shawl while looking foir a shaw3l pattern for a first communion for 2 of 5 granddaughters, such a touching story and beautiful. I live in VA in the USA and am a member of a prayer shawl ministery at my church. I decided to use this pattern for a shawl as I have been looking for a new pattern to use. I just wanted to let you know I have been getting nothing but compliments on it. I just finished it tonight and plan on sending it to a family memeber that recently found out that she has skin cancer as soon as it is blessed.
